The Country is on Fire!

Yeah so the fires here are kind of a big deal.... It´s the biggest fire in the history of Chile...

We had to evacuate 34 missionaries so I've had to drive all over the mission to rescue them pretty much. All those missionaries have been sleeping in the office for the past 4 days. So we are super stressed in getting everything situated. The fires are still going strong too. Here are some pictures.  Some of them I took from our department window. 

 

 

I feel bad for not writing

Alright so I feel bad for not writing these things so I'm gonna try to catch up on everything since the last time I wrote. Actually I have no idea what I wrote last...Umm lets see, well Claudia got baptized! The 22nd of December was the service and then she was confirmed on Christmas day! She is one of the most active members in the ward now along with Loismar.

We had cambios 2 weeks ago and I thought I was going to leave the sector because I already had 4 1/2 months here but President had a big surprise for Elder Fonseca and . So we live with another companionship right? And they (Elder Couto and Elder Bromley) work in the mission office, but they have been there for a while. So guess what now I'm companions with Elder Couto and Elder Fonseca is with Elder Bromley, and we're all in the office!! So now I have to learn all the stuff Elder Couto does and Elder Fonseca is learning Elder Bromley´s stuff. The craziest part is that Elder Fonseca and I will be companions again next cambio when Elder Couto and Bromley leave.

So it´s been 3 weeks since I've been working in the office and it's been super hard to learn everything. I'm in charge of all the baptismal info of the mission like the baptism records and different reports to the stakes and the area presidency. I´m also in charge of all the materials of the mission and making sure all the missionaries have the thing they need to teach and stuff. AND I´m also in charge of mission events like special conferences and stuff. It´s safe to say that I'm always busy haha, but I still havent learned everything and I only have 3 more weeks to learn it all...

Also when I came to the office I didn't change wards so I will be in the same ward for at least 9 months haha. I hope the members don't get tired of me haha. We are teaching a guy named Javier and he's way cool!! He is super smart and knows a ton of the scrips and stuff. He also know a bit of english so that's fun haha. But he has a baptism date for the 27th of this month, but he could have a could stumbling blocks along the way...prayers for him are welcome :)

The mission is passing by wayyyyy to fast! I want more time!!

Things are going pretty well in Concepcion! We are working with quite a few people that are progressing really well. Claudia is one of them and she´s like my best friend right now haha we´re always joking around and her son in the cutest ever. Loismar is another, and she´s from Venezuela. She has the most faith I have ever seen. I don't know if you guys know the pamphlets that the missionaries use to teach, but they have some questions at the back and every missionary knows that no one actually answers the questions, but Loismar answered all of them and she has a study notebook where she writes down all of her questions and the things she learns! WHAT!! She is planning on being baptized the 26th of Nov. Alfonso is another investigator we have. He was a reference from another sector in the mission and when we went to visit him he told us that he has problems with drugs and that he wants to be more united with his family.  He came to church on Sunday and was crying during Gospel principles class. Jimena also came to church but she is really sad because her husband doesn't want her to come but she knows the church is true and wants to be baptized but she doesn't want to separate her family. We have a couple other potentials this week and I hope we can help these people to get in the water! But not only the water. I want to help this people change their lives and go to the temple!! Well that's pretty much what's going on here. Christmas is coming up!! If someone wants to send me a ton of stuff here the address haha:
